Thai Swastika (B&W&C)
Thai Swastika (B&W&C): The contrast between the western association of the Swastika with the notorious German Nazis and the Thai understanding of it being a revered Buddhist symbol could not be greater; yet in a strange way these two perceptions are brought together in this dramatic photograph (with selective colour) of a young man at work, wearing a German World War Two helmet with a prominently displayed Swastika, Chiang Rai Thailand.
